Strictly Come Dancing’s Helen Skelton shrugs off wardrobe malfunction during tense semi-final

It was a tough week for the last five games as they had to deliver two dances each for a spot in Saturday’s final.

The 39-year-old Countryfile star performed an emotional waltz to Celine Dion’s Only One Road and Argentine tango to Eurythmics Here Comes The Rain Again with pro partner Gorka Marquez.

However, her intense tango failed her when her heels caught on her navy blue dress.
The Blue Peter presenter worked her way through her routine, with Strictly presenter Tess Daly asking: “Are your clothes all right? I can tell they’re a little caught in your heels.

Barring temporary mishaps, Helen and Gorka scored 37 out of 40, with judges Craig Revel Horwood giving them 9, Mozzi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke 10, and Shirley Ballas 8.
Elsewhere on the show, wildlife cameraman Hamza Yasin is overcome with emotion after reflecting on his Rigorous journey.

“Thanks everyone. It’s been an amazing journey,” he said.
But the tears continued to flow when his fellow pros were asked why he deserved a place in next week’s final.

“When I first met you, I asked for your trust and your energy, and you gave me so much more,” he began.
“Seeing you every day, getting out of my comfort zone and working so hard, giving me 120% every time is just amazing.

But what makes me the proudest teacher in the world is how you always go there at night and dance your heart out, thank you for that.”

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Sundays at 8.15pm on BBC One.
