Disney+’s first season of Dancing with the Stars is over. Going into tonight’s season 31 finale, there have already been a lot of changes announced. First, Cheryl Burke and Judge Len Goodman have broken up.

Then, Disney fired Bob Chapek and promoted Bob Iger to take over as CEO. Mr. Iger, I’m pleading from the back row: give ABC the mirror ball back! I believe we can all agree that this streaming experiment has failed; nobody wants Disney+ near the ballroom.

After reducing the cost of the Genie+ line-skipping service at the parks, perhaps your next important choice should be to move it back to Mondays on ABC.

Before announcing the winner, host Tyra Banks said the season finale had earned the most votes. (If only we knew how many of you watched in actuality.)

Shangela and Savchenko finished in fourth place. Bummer.

Brady and Carson took third place.

Windey and Chmerkovskiy finished in second place.

D’Amelio and Ballas triumph in the most underwhelming finish ever!

The lesson from season 31 is that nobody cares if two men dance together. Fans still want to see celebrities being developed for the show rather than skilled dancers being praised. Tyra Banks is enough after three seasons, please. A man like Len Goodman can never be replaced by television. Conrad Green ought to continue serving as executive producer indefinitely.

It’s official: Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas won the Mirrorball trophy on Dancing With the Stars season 31.

The TikToker moved about the ballroom with a natural ease that was immediately noted by judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Derek Hough. She still had to give it everything during Monday night’s finale to beat off her fellow contestants. Charli, The Bachelorette co-host Gabby Windey, Whose Line Is It Anyway? star Wayne Brady, and TV personality Shangela were left in the competition after Dancing With the Stars season 31 premiered earlier this fall in September on Disney+.

The Hulu actress made an impression throughout the highly anticipated conclusion of the historical episode, but she really cemented her abilities when she and Mark gave a vivacious jive to “Grown” by Little Mix. The pair concluded the performance with a freestyle routine set to Pinar Toprak’s song “Us Again.” Charli’s consistent efforts and her fans’ unwavering support ultimately helped her secure the victory, despite the fact that the other three celebrity pairs also scored impressive numbers.
